Listening Hands Physical Therapy is an out-of-network provider of physical therapy.

At Listening Hands Physical Therapy, we choose to be an Out of Network provider so that we can spend the time needed with you to truly get to the bottom of your symptoms. We can address a variety of complaints and body regions at one time because we know that everything is connected, and we can’t ignore something just because it may not be reimbursed by insurance. It gives us freedom as practitioners to treat the whole human, not just the hole in the human.

As a courtesy for our patients, we will happily verify your out-of-network benefits, deductibles, and out-of-pocket maximums on your behalf. If your insurance provides out-of-network benefits (PPO-type plans) we will electronically submit insurance pre-certification and claims to your insurance provider.

Once your out-of-network deductible has been reached, your insurance company will reimburse you directly depending on your plan specifics. Reimbursement varies from plan to plan and can be very complicated to understand.

In-network insurance companies will not reimburse Physical Therapy services for 1 full hour of specialized one-on-one care. The typical in-network Physical Therapist treatment time is reduced to an average of only 15 minutes per session. A typical insurance co-pay is $30. If you extrapolate 15 minutes into 1 full hour of care, your out-of-pocket expense for in-network co-pays would total $120, plus the cost of your time for traveling to your 4 appointments.

We are proud to announce that we accept Medicare now. However, unfortunately we do not accept Medicaid, no-fault, workers comp, or cases in litigation. Most medi-gap / secondary plans are also accepted to offset what Medicare does not cover. We comply will all Medicare rules and regulations with regards to your Physical Therapy care.
